Our FIRST year, 2007, we had Sanctus Real, Glenn Kaiser Band (Rez Band), Matt Ridenour Band, Redmark, Lystra’s Silence, Buck Storm, and Eric E.
Our SECOND year, 2008, we had The Afters, Bryan Duncan & The Neho Soul Band, Byword, Modern Dissent, Rocks Will Cry, and Eric E.
The THIRD Block Party, 2009 was our hardest rockin’ one yet with Ruth, Randy Stonehill, High Flight Society, Ashes Remain, A Rotterdam
November, and Eric E.
The FOURTH Block Party 2010 was a blast, with DecembeRadio, SpeakerBoxx, The Nameless, Lyrical Disciplez, Submission Red, Brant Colella, About A Mile, The Jox, The Lacks, and Tune In Tomorrow.
The FIFTH Block Party 2011 was the best one yet! New World Son, Dominic Balli, DaMac, Dark From Day One, The Lacks, Colton & Zara, & Runaway Symphony.
The idea behind the Block Party, is to throw a welcome back party for the University of Idaho and Washington State University students at the beginning of Fall Semester. There are thousands of new students, who have no idea what the Nuart Theater is, and we want them to know what we’re about. We don’t want to come on too strong so that some students decide to stay away from the Nuart for the rest of the year (afraid of being preached at)... we want to have a fun, relaxed time on Main Street that shows the students and the town that we are about passion for God, but in a classy, fun, and non-pushy way. We invite them to check out the theater and our schedule of events, and leave them wanting more... then they trickle in for the rest of the year, and are excited about all our future events...
